The Terre Haute Bible Center Doctrinal Statement

We believe that the 66 books known as the Bible, are God-breathed and authentic.

We believe that the eternal God-head exists in three persons – Father, Son and Holy Spirit.

We believe in the fall of man and his utter depravity, hence his need of regeneration.

We believe in regeneration by the Spirit, on the alone ground of the substitutionary death and shed blood of Christ.

We believe in the Pre-existence, Virgin Birth, Substitutionary Death, Bodily Resurrection, Bodily Ascension, High Priesthood and Advocacy, and Personal, Pre-millenial, Bodily Return of our Lord Jesus Christ.

We believe in Justification by faith, apart entirely from any or all works.

We believe in the resurrection of the dead, the eternal blessedness of the regenerated, and the eternal conscious punishment of all who reject Christ.

We believe that Baptism is for believers only, and is by immersion. That it and the Lord’s Supper are church ordinances.

We believe in living a “separated” life. II Cor. 6:17, 18.

Pastor Jerry Nash

Pastor Jerry Nash was born in Sullivan County, Indiana and graduated from Carlisle-Haddon High School in 1955. Pastor Nash attended Bob Jones University in Greenville, S.C., from which he received the B.A. and M.A. degrees in Bible. Pastor Nash did a year of post-graduate study in Christian Education and Bible.

Pastor Nash has served five churches in the past fifty-two years, all in the state of Indiana. He is now in his twenty-third year as the pastor-teacher of the Terre Haute Bible Center. located at 3219 E. Evans Ave. in Terre Haute.

Pastor Nash is married to the former Janice L. Worthington of Ayden, N.C. They are the parents of three children (Deborah, Jerry Jr., and Lorraine) and the grandparents of six very brilliant and talented grandchildren.

After more than five decades, Pastor Nash still enjoys the work of ministry, the one-on-one contact with people and the study and teaching of the Word of God.
